Sara Guild and James Barton opened the Ravenstone Deli in May 2005 to supply quality local products wherever possible and increase the variety of food available in the Machars Peninsula. We stock artisan cheeses, olives, deli meats, fresh fruit and vegetables, organic fresh meat, quality wine and local ale, organic, vegetarian and vegan products. Our bread is baked by James every morning and we grow our own produce in the garden and keep bees to supply our shop with honey. There are tables for eat-in lunches or snacks. We also do catering and can provide those coming to the area on holiday with a pre-order service.

NB> We are a seasonal business and close for the winter season – please call from mid-September onwards if you are planning a special trip to check we are open.

We will re-open on 29 March, 2007.

We are the third generation running the business and deliver as far north as Girvan and south as Creetown, all products are made fresh daily by local craftsmaen and we do wholesale as well as retail, making wedding and birthday cakes to order.
